Julie has spent her career successfully guiding media organizations through periods of challenge and change. Her inclusive, top to bottom approach to attaining business goals has been developed through real world, in the trenches leadership experience in an industry that is driven by technology advancements and an ever-changing competitive landscape.
Always looking toward future opportunities, Julie has been an early adopter of new technology and trends in media. Her current focus is on the successful integration of digital revenue and content strategies in traditional media organizations and the local business community.
With her roots firmly in marketing and business development, Julies' senior leadership accomplishments have spanned all aspects of the industry, including physical build out and launch of stations from CP stage, oversight of programming and operations for a station group, leading multiple sales teams to significantly outpace markets, and integration of Radio-TV-Digital assets - physically, creatively, culturally and fiscally. Her news, marketing and product teams have consistently earned recognition as best of class, including the Edwin R. Murrow award for Best TV News Website market 40+ at the national level.
A believer in life-long learning, she received a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Broadcasting & Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University, Executive MBA track with a concentration in Leadership Studies at The Baker Center for Graduate Studies in Flint, MI., graduate of the prestigious Broadcast Leadership Training program with the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation, and is a Certified Executive Coach.
In addition to her consulting and coaching practice, Julie is a frequent guest speaker in business and higher-education venues, a long-standing member of the Casas Adobes Rotary Club of Tucson, and serves as a founding board member of Haven Totes, Inc. which provides food and life essentials for children and families in need.
